Getting Ready

The countdown ticker on my phone says 3 days until travel.  Behind that countdown is a picture of our older boy, from many years ago when he was younger.  OH, two days left, and there is so much to do, but it will all get done!
School has been overwhelming.  It was I who said "Oh I hope I can at least get two weeks under my belt before traveling!"  Well, two weeks I got!  A crazy two weeks!  There is so much planning and scheduling that goes into the first two weeks of school.  I think I have tweaked and printed off my latest schedule at least 5 times in 9 days!  I went back tonight to get everything (for the most part) finished, and ready for my sub to take over on Monday!  I am so thankful that there is someone wonderful filling in for me in my absence.  She is a wonderful lady.  One whom I have known for many years.  She is grown, married, and still the best of friends with my youngest sister; Amy.  Anyoen who is married, has a life of her own, and still calls my 27 year old sister up on the weekends and takes her out with friends, is special in my book!  It makes me feel proud that my sister, who has DS, still hangs out with friends from high school!  How cool!
So-packing.....
Well, there are piles of things that are to go in bags.  That's a start!  I'm typically not a procrastinator, but school has been a bit time consuming in the past two weeks!  The girls are mostly packed for the three places they are going to stay.  Great friends are going to look for short sleeved shirts for them over the weekend.  It was hard picking out clothes with the possible weather change.  I've already said, if the girls don't match for three weeks, blame Mama!
Clothes for us will be washed up tomorrow and packed on Saturday!  As much as I hate to leave my girls, I'm ready to be in country.  I'm sure I'll get tired of it quickly, but after the last two weeks, a little bit of repetition and "Groundhog Day" sounds appealing!  (Not to mention the opportunity to take a nap and read some books!)
