Oh....here we go again!

We are so excited about adopting again. Don't get me wrong, I know the heartache from our last journey that not every flower along the adoption path smells wonderful. There are 'stink' weeds in the mix, but those 'stink' weeds really stink when you were hoping for beautiful, flowery news.

Here's the latest. News from J today says "we have some changes in our government,so at this moment I can't plan any international adoption". I wrote S to get some clarification and although she doesn't know any more that what J knows, it still, in type 'stinks' "The ministry officials in the country are looking at changing the way they process adoptions. From my understanding, they are looking at changing the process and working directly with an agency (or agencies) of their choosing. The whole thing is completely up in the air right now while they decide if that's what they want to do".

Will you pray for the officials? this country is a country that does very few adoptions. The children who are adopted by foreigners are blessed to live with families that acknowledge their specialties and embrace each difference. Let's hope there are more beautiful roses on our path, rather than those silly stink weeds!

Praying for a "sensible" outcome and a way for your adoption to go without delay!

Hey guys,
I think it is absolutely wonderful that you are adopting again! :) I am adopted along with three other adopted siblings who are all from different families. We love that we are so different but encased in this thing call "family". :)I am so excited for you. I want to encourage you as you are struggling with provision as well as guidance in matters dealing with children and the adoption situation. God is faithful and from what I have read I know you both desire to live a life according to Christ. My words may not mean much but take heart. God is using you to witness, call out, and encourage other people who are going through many of the same issues (or stinky weeds). Bless you and know that I have sent a prayer upward to Our Lord and Savior knowing He hears our prayers!
