We got word from J in E.E. yesterday that our little princess is cleared for adoption, so as soon as we get our paperwork finished and across the ocean, we can start talking about a travel date! I enjoy positive news!
Everything is coming along. Pam, our case worker for our home study is coming to the house on Wednesday (1/7). Hannah also has her medical appointment for our home study on that day (1/7). Our money to the USCIS office in Columbus was sent on Monday (12/29) and so was our second round of child abuse clearance papers (because someone at the office gave me bad info the first time around!) My employment letter is complete and Doug's is on the way! So, we have all the pieces for our home study completed or scheduled for the next week. Once we have our home study in hand, fingerprints complete, and driving for county notaries and apostilled, we will be ready to send things to our princess' country! YEA!
The last element that comes into play for an adoption is finances. We have a good portion of it, but would be grateful for any contributions, no matter how small. Your prayers for our journey mean the most to us!
Others we know that are ahead of us have been given an early February date to travel. Knowing that, and a pure guess, maybe we will travel in April or May?
