Deep breath

Every time I take the time to stop, take a deep breath, and thank Gog for everything HE has given us, I remember how truly blessed we are. Adoption is stressful, no matter how much you try to suppress that stress. You think you'll learn from round #1, and not stress as much the second time around. And yet, each go around is different, and the stress is present.

We have been waiting for a travel date. We are up against a time crunch. It's either June travel, or fall travel. Both have pros and cons. I can hardly wait to get my wrap my hands around 'M' and give her the biggest hug and kiss she has ever gotten. The thought of waiting until fall saddens me. The downfall to June travel is expense. June, July, and August are popular travel months for everyone, including in European counties. So with June travel, we will have increased expenses on airfare, lodging, and possibly currency exchange rates.

No word yet from 'J' of an official "Be here for your appointment on ____", but we did get an e-mail from Shelley. Shelley had talked with 'J' and the officials have told her that "M's" adoption will happen before the summer break! YEA!

So here in lies the excitement and stress. We are excited to prepare to travel. The stressful part is money. I think we have it budgeted, but if things get tight, we can put airline tickets on a credit card. Don't really want to do that, but we all make provisions to do what we know in our heart is right. As I checked our Reece's Rainbow profile today, I noticed that someone made a donation towards 'M's' adoption! THANK YOU! Every little bit helps. Our RR fund was at $225, and is now at $295! Wow!

I am happy to say our plans for summer now prayerfully and tentatively include an invitation to puddle jump and bring home our daughter! I can't wait. Bring on the stress...it is well worth it for the end result!
