Day 16- Passport, check

Look what we have in our possession!

This morning Mila woke at 7:00am, thanks to a dreary, rainy morning in Belgrade. It was Papa's turn to sleep in, so I got up with her.

Today we waited for word that Mila's passport was complete. Once complete, we could go to J's office and finish paperwork and get our visa paperwork filled out. A cab ride to J's office and approximately an hour in her office, we had Mila's passport and all needed documents for the Visa appointment scheduled for Monday afternoon. The last piece of paperwork needing to be completed is a medical, which is scheduled for Monday morning.

One concern today. We have changed many diapers, but no dirty diapers. We have had Mila in our care since Wednesday afternoon and nothing. We have heard some toots, but no evidence. We know Mila has had problems with constipation, and she is taking iron medication because of being anemic, but it seems strange wishing for a poop out of your kiddo. Jasmina gave us some tips as well as a medication to try if all else fails. We will wait until tomorrow before giving her medicine. (and yes, I've checked basis--her belly is still soft, she doesn't complain, no fever or vomiting--just no poop!)

We would like to venture out to the Zoo before we leave, but it is a 30-45 minute walk from our apartment and there has been a 50-60% chance of rain for the weekend....ugh. Maybe we'll get out soon. Otherwise our days are going to seem very long!

Please keep us posted on the poop. Soon Hannah can teach her all about "the mean face."
