Christmas Warrior

As  a parent, my children are included in my daily prayers.  For my girls, and for the two boys in our lives.  One of the boys is Max, whom we have hosted in our home for three years.  Max is 13 and had been in an orphanage, then home to his mother for a short while, and now back in an orphanage.  The other boy in our daily prayers is Sterling.

Sterling is a handsome little man who is in need of a forever family to call his own.  Sterling is 4 years old and living in a orphanage in Eastern Europe.  Sterling has Down Syndrome.

Our family has been praying for Sterling daily.  We are prat of Reece's Rainbow's Prayer Warrior team.  It doesn't cost a dime to become a prayer warrior.  All you need is to include a child in your daily prayers.  Pray for this child to find a Mama and Papa who will love him/her unconditionally.  Pray for a family for the child to call his/her own.

Since we have been praying for Sterling, it only made sense to be his Christmas Warrior as well.  I am working on raising awareness for waiting children around the world.  During the Christmas season, Reece's Rainbow has an Angel Tree fundraiser.
Hundreds of families hope to adopt our children, but they lack the funds to do so.  With an average cost of over $20,000 to adopt, your generous sponsorship in 2010 can truly change the course of a child's life!
When you donate $35 or more for a child, you will receive a beautiful photo ornament (WHEN DONATION MADE BEFORE DECEMBER 15!) of your sponsored child to hang on your tree!   This is a very special way to "share Christmas" with an orphaned child, and to make it possible for other American and Canadian families to afford the high cost of rescuing them from orphanages and mental institutions around the world!
This is also a very personal and meaningful GIFT IDEA, and gift cards will be sent with the ornament to your intended recipient. These are great for friends and family, but also for teachers, therapists, caregivers, doctors, etc. Even if you do not celebrate Christmas, our gift cards make wonderful gifts for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other seasonal celebration.  Reece's rainbow Angel tree runs from November 1-December 31 each year.

Last year, to our surprise, my sister Kim and her family, donated money to Krill's fund and gave us the ornament.  I can truthfully say that this is one of the greatest gifts I have received for Christmas.
