We made it!

We made it half way around the world in about 24 hours!  We boarded a plane on Sunday at 2:30pm in Columbus, and after two other stops and 7 hours in layovers, we have arrived in the capital city!  Our flights were packed, and the longest one had a good bit of turbulance. (No Matthew and Ryan, Mrs. Layne was not swallowe up by the hurricane!) We arrived in the capital city, found our driver and he showed us where to buy groceries and exchange money.
We passed the Hannon family in the driveway of the apartment as they were heading out to the region to finish the adoption of their sweet girls. We now inhabit the apartment they were in!

And now for some pictures of and from our apartment!
our frige contents--gotta have Coke Lite!

Big supermarket across the street from our apartment

Pretty statue outside our apartment

Second skype call to tell family we made it safely!

One bedroom- little bed.

Bedroom where Doug has to sleep if he's mean to me! :)
I already miss the girls like crazy!  I talked to both of them today after they got home from school and were at Grandma's.  Let's time passes quickly and we'll be home as a family of 6 soon!

We stayed there!!!!! This is the apartment we stayed in when we came BACK to Kiev from Kharkiv with Jackson! You're probably getting groceries at the same place as I can see the mall across the street. Too funny.

Glad you made it safely! :-)

Okay this apartment must get tons of business. We stayed there on TWO different visits. And we had friends who stayed there before we stayed there. I did like the location.
