One of my favorite meals
One of my favorite things to fix in Ukraine--Potatoes and onions.
We put a couple red potatoes in the skillet with butter. And add some of my favorite Italian seasoning.
Then chop up some onions (with butter of course) and I add a little sugar to sweeten the onions and make them caramelize.
Lastly I fry up some Ukrainian kielbasa. Just enough to brown it. (too much and it turns into jerky!)
Throw it all together and it's one of my favorite meals to fix here in Ukraine. I'm not sure why, but it just doesn't taste the same at home.
And for dessert tonight, ice cream cones.
