We got a call around noon to say that someone would be at the apartment in 10 minutes to pick up, so we quickly packed up a few toys and headed downstairs. We took a short ride to the outskirts of the city, then stopped at the regional administration building. We waited for our facilitator to get some needed documentation, then headed to the orphanage.
At the orphanage we met with the doctor's assistant who told us about our "Kostya". We learned he was born at 38 weeks. He was 7.5 pounds and 17" inches at birth. According to the doctor he is able stand holding on to the edge of his crib, roll over, and sit with assistance. Then they brought him into the room. OH-my-GOODNNESS, he is too much. I had to fight back tears. He sat on the doctor's lap and tried to get the papers she was reading!

Papa has already told him that he will be Papa's official nap buddy....he even tried to convince him to nap with him today!
He is TOTALLY different from the girls (yes, I know, for obvious reasons)...he is SOOO limber. So limber that I wonder if his hips are "loose". Laurie told me that some DS kiddos have worn hip hugger shorts to promote their hips to stay where they should be. Here are just few of our favorite pictures from today, thanks to our wonderful photographer and friend, Anya.
Videos to come...when I can get them uploaded! :)

He's adorable!
Wow, he is a cutie! Congrats!!!
There is nothing to say but JOY. You have a new son, you can tell you are already in love with him. So happy for all
Oh my goodness!! He is absolutely adorable! So so so happy for you guys!
OH MY! He is precious! He is so small for his age but they usually are when you get a little one like him from the Orphanage.
I cannot wait until you get him home and feed him some good food he is going to grow at a rapid pace. With him being this little you will get to enjoy his baby years.
I assume you already have a Nursery sat up at home? If not then you will have fun doing it when you get home.
Have you guys decided on a name for him?
To bad you cannot take Max with you to visit and meet his new brother. However, hopefully it will be just a short period before you will have them both in your arms forever anyway.
Congratulations and praying for you guys.
Love,
Sheila
